The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising 1,300 homes on 64.3ha of land.

The project includes the construction of a community center, a primary school, leisure facilities, access roads, parking and related facilities.

In December 2011, the Perth and Kinross Council (PKC) refused the plans citing that the proposal contravened a policy of the 1995 local development plan (LDP).

In January 2012, PKC approved the removal of the development plans from the LDP.

Subsequently, Pilkington appealed the refusal to the Government of Scotland (GoS) and held a public inquiry in July 2012.

In October 2013, the GoS’s LDP examination report recommended the project plans to be incorporated in the LDP.

Pilkington re-submitted the development plans to the PKC in September 2014.

In December 2014, Pilkington held public exhibitions identifying the long-term benefits related with the project.

In March 2015, PKC reviewed the re-submitted plans.

On July 7, 2015, Pilkington withdrew the proposed development plans and announced its intent of resubmitting the plans following the completion of a public consultation period.

On July 28, 2015, Pilkington re-submitted the plans for the proposed development.

In May 2016, PKC rejected the project plans. After the rejection, Pilkington and SMG filed an appeal against the decision of PKC.

On November 2016, the Scottish government approved an appeal against PKC's decision of rejecting the approvals.

Pilkington awaiting final approval to commence construction.
