PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PetroVietnam), a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation, is planning to build a gas-fired power plant in Tam Quang Commune of Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam.
The project involves the construction of a gas-fired power plant with of capacity of 750MW. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation, access roads and storage tanks, the installation of generators of capacity 750MW, turbines and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
In June 2017, PetroVietnam signed a MoU with GE Vietnam Ltd for the cooperation on the supply of equipment and development of the gas power complex using the Blue Whale gas.
