Peab Sverige AB (Peab) and Fabege AB (Fabege) are undertaking the construction of New Rasunda Mixed-use project in Stockholm County, Sweden.
The project involves the redevelopment of stadium into new mixed-used facilities, by demolishing stadium and constructing 700 homes, an office building across with a gross floor area of 21,000m2 and 700 parking spaces.
The project will be developed in two blocks naming block Klacken and block Liraren. Block Klacken includes the construction of 340 apartments and parking facilities.
Visio Development AB a company jointly owned by Peab and Fabege is implementing the project. NCC Construction was appointed as construction contractor.
In November 2012, Rivners AB appointed as the demolition contractor.
In January 2013, demolition work commenced on the stadium and was completed in November 2013.
In December 2015, Peab and Fabege have agreed to split ownership.
Peab will undertake the construction on turnkey basis for the office building.
In November 2016, construction works on 700 homes commenced.
Construction works on the first housing association (157 homes) are scheduled for completion in first quarter 2019 and the whole project in 2022.
