Northacre Renewable Energy (NRE), a subsidiary of The Hill Group, is planning to build a renewable energy facility in Westbury, Wiltshire, the UK.

The project involves the construction of a 22MW waste-to-energy power plant with a processing capacity of 160,000 tonnes of high calorific content solid recovered fuel per annum.

The project includes the construction of sorting facilities, processing units, a powerhouse, a substation and related facilities, the installation of machinery, and the laying of transmission lines.

On October 17, 2014, Chinook Sciences was appointed as technology consultant. Under the terms, the plant will use RODECS gasification system to transform discarded waste materials into energy.

On September 23, 2015, planning application has been approved by Wiltshire Council.

In April 2016, NRE was engaged with project partners to finalize the technology supplier for the development.

NRE and project partners are in process to finalize the technology supplier for the project.

Construction works are expected to commence in 2018.
