Premier Renewable Energy (PRE), an independent power company registered in Victoria, is planning to undertake the Marten Ridge Wind Farm project approximately 10km northeast of Fernie, British Columbia in the Regional District of East Kootenay, Canada

The project involves the construction of 80MW onshore wind farm with 40 wind turbines of capacity 2MW each.

The project will include the construction of an interconnecting collector system, a substation and 15km of new access roads.

The project will include the construction related facilities like operation and maintenance building, power controlling systems, the installation of electric feeder system, wind turbines, and the laying of underground transmission lines and an overhead transmission line that will connect to the existing inter-connection point at Spenser Bridge.

In May 2016, Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) has withdrawn the project from Environmental Assessment (EA).

Planning activities are underway.
