Phu Quoc Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (PQID), a subsidiary of CEO Group (CEO), is undertaking the construction of a resort complex in Kien Giang Province, Vietnam.
The project involves the construction of villas and resort complex on 132ha of land.
The first stage, worth US$28 million, includes the construction of a 70,730m2, five-story Novotel Phu Quoc resort comprising 44 bungalows and 400 hotel rooms. It includes the construction of swimming pools, restaurants, dining space, leisure and parking facilities.
The project is divided into three phases of investment: first phase from late 2012 to late 2014 includes the preparation for investment and construction of 40% infrastructure work, the second phase from early 2015 to late 2017 includes investment in building 60% infrastructure, and the third phase from early 2018 to late 2019 includes investment in construction of remaining structure of the project.
On August 1, 2011, PQID signed a contract with Site Asia Company for design consultancy services.
Savills Vietnam has been appointed to provide market research consultancy and Kume Sekkei Co. Ltd for design work.
Kume Design Asia Co., Ltd has been appointed as architect for the resort.
On June 17, 2014, CEO signed a hotel consulting and managing contract with Accor Group.
On September 25, 2014, Cotec Construction JSC (Coteccons Group) was appointed as general contractor for Novotel Phu Quoc resort.
In October 2014, the groundbreaking ceremony was held at the project site.
In April 2015, construction work on 44 villas was completed, while construction of five-story hotel reached the fourth floor.
On January 18, 2016, construction works on Novotel Phu Quoc resort completed.
