Przedsiebiorstwo Panstwowe Porty Lotnicze (PPL), known as Polish Airports State Enterprise, is undertaking the Chopin Airport City project in Warsaw, Poland.
The project involves the construction of 165,000m2 of office complex in 17 buildings on 22.5ha of land. The project is being developed in two phases.
The first phase of the project includes the construction of office and service complex, and six office buildings on 13.27ha of land and the second phase includes the construction of the eleven remaining office buildings.
The project includes the construction of retail space, 3,300 parking spaces and related facilities, and the installation of elevators and safety systems.
On August 23, 2011, PPL secured US$45 million funding to develop the project.
In September 2011, Arup & Partners International Limited was appointed as study consultant for the project.
JEMS Architects has been appointed as architect.
Planning activities are underway with construction scheduled to be completed by 2024.
