The project involves the construction of a 200MW pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant. It will include the construction of a reservoir, a powerhouse, a control room, access roads and related facilities, the installation of generators and turbines, and the laying of pipelines and transmission lines.
A three-party consortium led by Siemens has been appointed as the developer for the project.
PPC is planning to issue a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the implementation of the project on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode. Subsequent to the RFQ, PPC intends to issue a request for information to the selected bidders.
