The project involves the construction of a 100MW gas-fired power plant. It includes the construction of a 150kV substation, a powerhouse, a control room, gas storage tanks and related facilities, the installation of generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
In May 2014, PLN invited request for qualification (RFQ) from companies to develop the project on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis for the duration of 25 years.
