Pattern Energy Group LP (PEG) and Green Power Investment Corporation (GPIC) formed a joint venture to develop the wind farm in Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
The project involves the construction of a 33MW wind farm. It includes the construction of a substation, turbine bases and the installation of wind turbines, transformers and generators, and the laying of transmission lines.
PEG and GPIC signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Shikoku Electric Power Company.
On January 9, 2016, PEG and GPIC achieved financial close to the project with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.
Construction works are underway and expected to be completed in 2018.
