The Kuwait's Public Authority for Housing and Welfare (PAHW) is undertaking the construction of Sabah Al Ahmad Future City project in Kuwait.
The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities on 35 million m2 of land and is being divided into five areas namely A, B, C, D, E. Further the Block "A" is subdivided into another five blocks (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5).
It includes the construction of 11,000 housing units, 45 schools, 70 mosques, a football stadium and 15 hospitals, the installation of safety and security systems.
Al Dowailah Engineering has been appointed as the design consultant and Al Hajraf Trading and Contracting Group and Bash Yazji Company joint venture along with Sinohydro Corporation (Area C) as the construction contractor for infrastructure and ring road works.
Mohamed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons Company is providing construction & MEP contract service for A1, A2, A3 areas, while United Gulf Constructions Company for A4 and A5 areas.
First Kuwaiti General Trading and Contracting Company is the construction & MEP contractor for the area B works; Alamiah Building Company for the area C works and Combined Group Contracting Company for areas D and E works.
In the third quarter of 2011, construction works commenced.
Construction works on the development are underway.
