Ouronegro Energia is planning to undertake the construction of a 600MW coal-fired plant in Candiota, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The project involves the construction of powerhouses, a storage room, a switch yard and substations, the installation of boilers and turbines, and the laying of transmission lines.
Ouronegro plans to develop the project in two phases with 300MW for each phase.
Ouronegro and SEPCO1 Electric Power Construction Corporation signed a partnership agreement for the development of the project.
In August 2016, Ibama issued the preliminary license for the development of Ouro Negro coal-fired power plant in Candiota.
The 80% fund for the work will be financed by Indico Financial Management & Services and 20% by investors and partner companies (ONE S / A, SEPCO1 and Power China).
It is expected that the construction work will be done by SEPCO1.
