It includes the construction of a storage facility to accommodate up to 20,000 tonnes of cement, production units, processing units, control rooms, and the installation of equipment and machinery.

GIBB (Pty) Ltd has been appointed as the environmental consultant for the project.

In April 2013, GIBB prepared a draft environmental impact (EIA) report for the project.

In April 2017, Gebr. Pfeiffer was awarded a contract to supply a MVR mill for the cement grinding plant.

Planning activities are underway.
