Odebrecht Peru is developing the Central Hidroelectrica Rio Grande in Celendín and San Marcos province, Peru.
The project involves of the construction of reservoirs, tunnels, powerhouses, substations, switch yards and related infrastructure, the installation of generators, turbines and related equipment, and the laying of transmission lines.
The project will be developed in two phases. The first phase consists of a 600MW power plant and a dam with a height of 150m with a capacity of 2050Hm3 of water, and the second phase consists of 150MW and a dam with height of 50m with a capacity of 100Hm3 of water.
In November 2014, study work was started.
The project involves the construction of a hydroelectric plant with a combined capacity of 750MW on a 64,871ha area in Peru.
