A feasibility study was completed in the fourth quarter of 2010, following which Adam was selected as the ideal location for the project.
OPAEW planned to issue tenders for developer contract in the third quarter of 2011; however the tender process was delayed due to several issues.
In March 30, 2016, OPWPC was overseeing the collection of solar radiation data from the two potential locations chosen in the Adam and Manah areas.
In June 2017, OPWPC issued the request for proposal (RFP) for a legal advisory consultant with submission deadline July 24, 2017.
