Omni Hotels & Resorts (OMNI), Louisville Metro Government (LMG) and Kentucky Government (KEN) are undertaking the construction of a mixed-use development in Kentucky, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 30-story building. The project includes the construction of 612-room hotel, 225-luxury apartments, a 1,858m2 of grocery store, 6,503m2 of meeting rooms, retail shops, a spa, a fitness center, two restaurants, a swimming pool, a rooftop pool-side cafe, a lobby lounge, 820 parking spaces and other related facilities, the installation of elevator and safety systems.
The project is funded by US$150 million from OMNI and US$139 million will come from the city and state through a tax increment financing.
HKS Architects has been appointed as architect for the project.
On January 13, 2015, Project secured approval from Metro Council committee.
In April 2015, Brasfield & Gorrie appointed as the contractor on the project.
On July 29, 2015, the design of the project received approval from the Downtown Development Overlay review board and the project goes before the board of zoning adjustment for the approval.
In February 2016, construction works commenced and are underway with the completion scheduled by the first quarter of 2018.
