The project involves the construction of an apartment community comprising 196 units on 7ha of land and will be developed in phases.
The first phase includes the construction of 72 family housing units, the second phase includes the construction of five-story apartment comprising 72 senior housing units, and the third phase includes the construction of eight buildings with 52 residential units.
It includes the construction of a retail facility, parking and other related facilities, and the installation of elevators, safety and security systems.
The project was funded through low income tax credits, ARRA funds, HUD Disaster Relief funds, casualty insurance proceeds and HUD RHF Funds.
In August 2010, the Planning & Development Department of Lake Wales gave in-principle approval for the project.
Hardeman Kempton & Associates, Inc and Woodroffe Corporation Architects were appointed as architects. Norstar in-house division has undertaken the construction of the first phase of the project.
In the second quarter of 2012, construction works completed for the first phase.
