Bouygues Construction Australia Pty has been appointed as construction contractor.

In June 2016, development received approval from Western Plains Regional Council and the Narromine Shire Council.

On September 8, 2016, Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) provided US$4.2 million funds.

The project is owned and developed by Neoen, with the debt financing provided by the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, along with funding from ARENA.

The construction commenced in February 2017.

As of April 2017, Pile deliveries are complete, piling installation is halfway, Pre-drilling for pile installation, Civil works are nearly complete and Fencing works are nearly completed.

The construction works are underway with completion scheduled in fourth quarter of 2017.
