Navasota Energy Services LLC (Navasota) and Quantum Utility Generation, LLC (Quantum) are planning to build a gas-fired power plant in Texas, the US.

The project involves the construction of a 543MW simple cycle gas-fired electric generating plant on 21ha of land. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation and related infrastructure, the installation of three 181MW gas-fired turbines, generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.

General Electric has been awarded a contract to supply GE 7FA turbines.

On June 17, 2014, Navasota filed for an air permit.

In February 2015, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality granted air quality permit.

In May 2015, Quantum has joined Navasota to help in finance and construction of the plant.

The project involves the construction of a 543MW simple cycle gas-fired electric generating plant on 21ha of land in Guadalupe County, Texas, the US.
