Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) is planning to develop mixed-use facilities in Iganmu, Lagos, Nigeria.
The project involves the development of mixed-use facilities on 134ha of land. It includes the redevelopment of national theatre area and the construction of a shopping mall, three blocks of office buildings having 10-story each, a park, retail units, commercial units, a pool, parking and other related facilities.
The project will also include a 12-story hotel comprising 250 single rooms of 30m2, 300 double rooms of 40m2 and 50 suites with sizes ranging from 50m2 to 75m2.
On November 2, 2014, NTDC issued an expression of interest (EoI) requesting investors to undertake the project as master concessionaires/operators to design, finance, build (construct), operate and transfer (DFBOT) in Public Private Partnership (PPP) with submission on December 2, 2014.
In January 2015, 10 consortia submitted the EoI for the development of the project.
The consortia that submitted pre-qualification documents were namely, Resilient Africa Proprietary Limited, CCECC Nigeria Ltd, Afrebay U.S.A, Quippo Energy Nigeria Private Ltd, Neon Holdings Consortium, Trevari Group, Causeway Project Ltd, Calzada Limited, RMB Westport and Chrismichaels Ltd/Topwide Apeas.
Out of 10 consortia, seven companies emerged as pre-qualified bidders. They were: CCECC Nigeria Ltd, Calzada Ltd, Chrismichaels Ltd/Topwide Apeas, Resilient Africa, Quippo Energy Nigeria Private Ltd, RMB Westport and Neon Holdings Consortium.
In June 2015, Calzada Ltd and Chrismichaels Ltd/Topwide Apeas were selected as preferred bidders.
Calzada Ltd has made a bid of US$723 million whereas Chrismichaels Ltd/Topwide Apeas made a bid of US$517 million for the project.
The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities on 134ha land in Iganmu, Lagos, Nigeria.
