The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) is planning to build a road tunnel in Akershus and Buskerud Counties, Norway.
The project involves the construction of a 14km Oslofjord road tunnel on RV. 23. It will be developed in two stages.
The first stage includes the construction of 1.6km RV. 23 tunnel from Bjørnstad in Røyken municipality to Vassum in Frogn municipality.
The second stage includes the construction of a 7.4km Oslo Fjord tunnel between Måna and Verpen, the Frog tunnel and the Vassum tunnel constitute a part of RV. 23 and the Oslo Fjord connection.
The project includes the construction of a 200m-long Bråtan bridge for the bike race, the expansion from two to four-lane 6km road between the Frogn tunnel to the E6 at Vassumtunnelen and related infrastructure.
Dr Ing A Aas-Jakobsen AS and Multiconsult have been appointed as engineering consultants.
As of July 2017, planning activities are underway.
