New Planet Energy (NPE) is planning to build a biofuel plant in Stony Point, Rockland County, New York, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 23,225m2 biofuel plant with a production capacity of 20 million gallons of diesel fuel per annum (MGDFPN) on 15.7ha of land. It will be developed in two phases.
The project includes the construction of a production unit, a warehouse, a distribution center, and an administrative building and the installation of safety and security systems.
As of August 2017, NPE is in the process of environmental impact study and permitting process with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for the development.
Subject to approval, construction on the first phase is scheduled to be complete by the second quarter of 2019, and the second phase by 2021.
