Nevada Hydro Company (NHC) is planning to construct Lake Elsinore Advanced Pumped Storage on San Juan Creek in Riverside County, California, the US.

The project involves the construction of a hydropower plant with capacity of 500MW. It includes the construction of a 73m high dam, a powerhouse and a substation, and the installation of two reversible pump-turbines and the laying of 51km transmission line of 500kV.

In July 2011, FERC rejected a permit request due to disagreements between NHC and Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, owner of Lake Elsinore.

The in-house division of NHC will undertake the construction.

Genterra Consultants Inc. has been appointed to do geotechnical, hydrologic, and inundation studies.

In December 2011, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) accepts a new preliminary permit application.

In October 2012, FERC issued a preliminary permit to NHC to study the feasibility.

In 2014, large generator interconnection agreements was approved by FERC.

In September 2015, the agreement was extended for next 2 year.
