National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to undertake the upgrade of a highway from Raipur to Dhamtari in Chhattisgarh, India.
The project involves the upgrade of a two-lane road with a total length of 81km from Raipur to Dhamtari. It will include the construction of four major and 13 minor bridges, four railway crossings, service roads, road separators, pedestrian ways, toll stations and related infrastructural facilities.
The project includes the construction of 114m Dalai Canal Bridge, 94.90m Bhata Canal Bridge, 100m Bhata Canal Bridge and a 90m Dadinsera Canal Bridge within the development of the road section.
NHAI awarded a contract to LRP Consultants Consortium Pvt Ltd for the preparation of design and detail project report (DPR) which was completed in the fourth quarter of 2010.
The highway section will be executed on BOT (Toll) basis under NHDP Phase IV.
In July 2016, the land acquisition process started and is still underway.
The project involves the upgrade of a two-lane, 81km road with paved shoulder configuration of NH-43 connecting Raipur and Dhamtari in Chhattisgarh, India.
The US$137 million project includes the following:
