Northeast Business Park Pty Ltd (NEBP), a joint venture of Port Binnli Pty Ltd and Laing O’Rourke, is undertaking the construction of the mixed-use community in Morayfield, the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia.
The project involves the development of a mixed-use community on 769ha of land.
The project will include the construction of a 170ha village park, 1,200 homes, schools, shops, restaurants and a 300-berth marina and a golf course.
In addition, about 55% of the site will be regenerated as open space to provide community access to the Caboolture River and adjacent wetlands.
In December 2009, Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) approved the industrial component of North Harbour.
PLACE Design Group has been appointed as master planner and landscape architect; ML Design has developed the master plan and designs for the marina, residential and Golf Course precincts; Cardno as the environmental consultant; and RPS Group is also involved in the master planning.
In July 2013, MBRC has given the approval for 1000 residential lots.
NEBP appointed Lember and Williams as the Legal advisor; Lectel as an electrical designer; and Hall Contracting Pty Ltd as the construction contractor.
In the fourth quarter of 2014, construction works commenced and the village park has been approved.
In October 2015, Australian Gas Networks Ltd appointed as supply contractor.
In April 2016, construction of village park was completed. Construction works are underway.
In May 2017, construction activities on the second park which is named after Reflections Park are underway and construction activities on the third park which is named after Riparian Park will begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.
In October 2017, construction activities on the Reflections Park are completed.
