Ministry of Transport, Ivory Coast is planning to develop a 24.3km Y4 ring highway in the Commune of Cocody, and Communes of Abobo and of Anyama, Cote d'Ivoire.
The project involves the construction of a 24.3km highway to be built is 2x2 lanes that can be widened to 2x3 lanes, a 12m median central divider to allow for possible future expansion, roadways of 2x3.5m, emergency parking shoulders of 2x2.5m, berms (2x0.75m) and related facilities.
The first section of nine 9km is located southwards of the crosswalk of the Commune of Cocody, and uses the rights-of-way originally reserved for the corridor of road Y4. The remaining 15.3km is located in the crosswalks of the Communes of Abobo and of Anyama.
The project is being jointly funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
