The Ministry of Transport, Republic of Serbia (MoT) is planning to undertake the construction of the Corridor 11 Požege to Boljare Motorway project in Serbia.
The project involves the construction of a 106.8km motorway starting from Požege passing through Arilje, Ivanjica, Kosavica, Kovilj, Brnjica, Duga Poljana, Pester, Rasanski Dol, BuDev, Sjenica to Boljare.
The project includes the construction of 15 tunnels covering 27kms, 22 bridges and viaducts, 10 petrol stations, carriageways, side rails, drainage facilities, service roads, and other related infrastructure and the installation of signal lights, and sign boards.
In January 2014, MoT signed a memorandum of cooperation with G.I.D.C., a joint venture company set up by Global Capital Advisors Management and Serbian government, which will finance US$27.3 million for the project and even prepares the technical documentation.
In February 2014, Arabs and Chinese expressed interests in the concession to undertake the construction of the project. GIDC had proposed a model of public-private partnerships.
In May 2017, Serbian infrastructure ministry signed memoranda of understanding (MoU) with China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) for for infrastructure works.
The project involves the construction of the 106.8km motorway on pan-European transport Corridor XI in Serbia.
