The Indian Ministry of Railway (MoR) is planning to undertake a railway line project between Pirpainti in Bihar to Jasidih in Jharkhand, India.
The project involves the construction of a 127km broad-gauge rail line which will connect Pirpainti to Jasidh. It includes the construction of three sections; a 60km rail line which connects from Pirpainti to Godda, a 30km rail line which connects from Hansdiha to Godda, and a 37km rail line which connects from Hansdiha to Mohanpur.
The project includes the construction of railway stations, signaling junctions, and other related infrastructure facilities.
In February 2014, MoR received preliminary approval from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) for the project.
In February 2016, MoR allocated funds for the project in the 2016-17 railways budget.
Planning activities are underway. Subject to the start of construction works, it will take 5 years to complete.
