The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MoPWH) is constructing the Ladongi dam in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia.
The project involves the construction of a 65m high dam with a capacity of 36.15 million m3. It includes a 1.5MW power plant, pumping stations, underground pipelines, a penstock and other related infrastructure, and the installation of equipment.
The project will be funded by the 2016-2020 fiscal year state budget.
In February 2016, tenders were issued for the appointment an EPC contractor.
On October 20, 2016, MoPWH awarded an EPC contract worth US$65 million to PT Hutama Karya and PT Bumi Karsa KSO.
In February 2017, construction works commenced.
As of August 6, 2017, 8.7 percent works have been completed.
Construction works are underway and slated for completion by 2019.
