The Ministry of Public Works, Cameroon (MoPW) along with Government of Chad (GoC) is planning to construct a bridge between Cameroon and Chad.
The project involves the construction of a 700m bridge between Yagoua in northern Cameroon and Bongor in Chad. It includes the construction of 10km connecting road, intersections, service roads and the installation of signaling and safety systems.

In March 2017, The European Union (EU) and African Development Bank (AfDB) agreed to finance US$44.8 million to the project in the form of a grant.
