The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT), Italy and The Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) are jointly planning to undertake the railway line doubling project between Andora to Finale Ligure in the Province of Savona, Italy.
The project involves the doubling of a 32km high-speed railway line and will be developed in sections.

In July 2005, The Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE) has approved preliminary draft and funding plans presented by RFI.
In 2010, Italferr S.P.A. was appointed as engineering design consultant.
In December 2010, design works commenced.
In February 2015, MoIT announced a US$248 million grant as equity.
The project is facing delay due to non-realization of funds.
