The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MoHRK) and Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU) named after SD Asfendiyarov is planning to develop a multi-disciplinary hospital in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The project involves the construction of hospital with 300 beds, intensive care departments, intermediate care units, operation theaters, an ambulatory building, a diagnostic building, waiting halls, an ambulatory surgery center, inpatient wards, outpatient wards, parking facilities, related facilities, the installation of machinery, elevators and power-related facilities.
The project is planned to be implemented through Public Private Partnership (PPP).
In August 2015, the MoHRK organized a camp jointly with Centre for support of PPP projects, with the support of the Akimat of Kyzylorda oblast, JSC NMH Baiterek, the Kazakh National Medical University and Kazakhstan PPP Center, presented the public-private partnership project at KazNMU for the construction and operation of the multi-field hospital with 300 beds in Almaty and the construction and operation of the polyclinic in Kyzylorda.
