The Ministry of Health of Kamchatka Territory (MoHKT) is undertaking the construction of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky New Regional Hospital on a40ha of land in Kamchatka, Russia.
The project involves the construction of eight hospital buildings with 510 beds on 80,000m2 area, a medical diagnostic building, an administrative-polyclinic building, a pathoanatomy department building, obstetric department with 40 beds, an auxiliary department building, parking and related facilities and the installation of machinery, elevators, and power facilities. The project is expected to be implemented in two phases:
The first phase involves the construction of two medical buildings and the second phase is the extension of the first phase.
RMP Medtekhnika was appointed as designer and OOO Medproject as design subcontractor.
In October 2014, OAO Kamchatzhilstroy appointed as the general contractor for the project.
In December 2015, MoHKT has terminated the construction contract with OAO Kamchatzhilstroy due to financial issues.
As of January 2016, work is carried out on the adjustment of design and estimate documentation and preparing tender documentation to determine the new contractor.
In May 2016, OOO Master was appointed as the general contractor for the project.
In June 2016, Construction commenced on the project.
In September 2016, the regional government signed a memorandum of intent with the Korean investors for the implementation of the project.
In July 2017, MoHKT terminated the contract with OOO Master due to regulatory issues and OOO GASK was appointed as general contractor.
Construction activities are underway on the surgical building and are expected to be completed by the end of 2017. Thereafter, the construction of the main building will commence.
