The Ministry of Health, Croatia (MoH) is undertaking the redevelopment of Varazdin general hospital in Croatia.
The project involves the renovation and reconstruction of Varazdin general hospital.
It includes the extension of surgery building by 8,919m2 area, extension of the connecting corridor between four buildings with a gross surface area of 153,000m2, the adaptation of a 11,505m2 surgery building, the refurbishment of surgery building on a 2,618m2 area and other related facilities.
The project is being executed through public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
MoH appointed Center for Monitoring Business Activities in the Energy Sector and Investments (CEI) as in-charge for implementing the project.
On February 21, 2015, CEI issued tenders for a private partner for financing, design, reconstruction, construction, upgrading, equipping, maintenance and management of the project with a submission deadline of April 14, 2015.
However, the bid submission deadline has been extended till October 2015. Later on as no companies shown their interest in the project, CEI has cancelled the bidding process. CEI is planning to reissue tenders in 2016.
On June 14, 2016, Prvo plinarsko društvo – Energy Saving Company was awarded a contract for the provision of energy services to improve the energy performance of the project.
