The Ministry of Energy, Malawi (MoE) is planning to undertake the construction of a hydroelectric power plant in Malawi.
The project involves the construction of a 20MW-50MW hydroelectric power plant. It will include the construction of a dam, a powerhouse, a substation and service roads, the installation of turbines, transformers and generators, the laying of transmission lines.

World Bank is funding the feasibility studies for the project.
