Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) has been appointed as architect, Royston, Hanamoto, Alley & Abey (RHAA) as a landscape architect, Interface Engineering Inc. as MEP consultant and The Albert Group as the construction contractor.
Initial community outreach and preliminary designs commenced in 2013. After receiving initial feedback on the vision for 1979 Mission, Maximus submitted Preliminary Project Assessment (PPA) application to the San Francisco Planning Department.
In February 2014, Maximus submitted environmental evaluation application.
In March 2014, submitted conditional use authorization application.
In November 2015, the project has been placed on hold due to legal issues.
In June 2016, the Planning Commission met for the first public hearing.
As of April 2017, Maximus is expected to submit the planning application to the planning commission in the third quarter of 2017.
