Work on the pediatric assessment unit commenced in January 2014 and was completed in August 2014.
On June 16, 2015, Kier Group plc (Kier) was appointed as the contractor for the remaining facilities under the ProCure 21+ framework.
On June 19, 2015, Kier signed an agreement with a private finance firm for the construction of main entrance by demolishing major buildings.
On March 1, 2017, Walter West Builders Limited appointed as to undertake A & E Pediatric Refurbishment Works for the project.
Construction is expected to be completed by 2019.
