Mytrah Vayu (Tungabhadra) Private Ltd (MVTPL), subsidiary of Mytrah Energy (India) Private Ltd (MEIPL) is planning to build a wind farm in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India.
The project involves the construction of a 220MW wind farm. The project includes the construction of a substation and related infrastructure, the installation of wind turbines and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.
In February 2015, MEIPL signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) to develop the project.
In April 2016, MEIL has secured loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the project.
In August 2016, MVTPL entered into a definitive agreement with Guayama P.R. Holdings B.V., an investment vehicle of GE Energy Financial Services. According to the agreement, GE Energy Financial Services will invest US$31 million in the project.
