In March 2015, MV and SH signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development to develop the project.

In May 2016, Callison RTKL Associates was appointed as design consultant. Dar Al-Mimar Group, in partnership with Callison RTKL Associates will jointly draw the design and layout.

Planning activities are underway.
