Microsoft Corp (MSFT) is planning to build a data center campus in San Antonio, Texas, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 120,773m2 eight-building data center campus on 63.9ha of land. It will be developed in four phases.
The first phase includes the construction of two 14,771m2 data center buildings. Each of the other three phases will be identical to the first phase.
The project includes the construction of server rooms, meeting rooms, an administrative space, parking and related facilities, and the installation of equipment.
In December 2015, MSFT acquired the project site (63.9ha) from the Texas Research & Technology Foundation for US$130 million. Norton Rose Fulbright has advised MSFT regarding the purchase of the 63.9ha of land.
