The Ministry of Roads & Urban Development, Iran (MRUD) is undertaking the construction of Shiraz to Boshehr to Asalouye railway line in Iran.
The project involves the construction of 647km railway line from Shiraz to Boshehr to Asalouye. It includes the construction of 21 bridges with a total length of 5km, stations, platforms, 32 tunnels with a length of 22.4km, access roads, the installation of signals and safety systems, and the laying of railway tracks.
The project is planned to be developed in public–private partnership (PPP) under Built, Operate and Transfer (BOT) and the construction is planned to be developed in two sections: Shiraz-Bushehr and Aharam-Assaluyeh.
Rahiyab Rayaneh Gostar Co has been appointed as study consultant.
In 2010, construction works commenced.
Construction work is underway, however the project is facing delay due to funding issues.Scope
