The Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) is planning to undertake the construction of a monorail project in Thailand.
The project involves the construction of a 21.6km monorail from Kae Rai via Ngam Wong Wan Road and Kaset-Navamin Road to Lam Salee. The project will offer interchanges with the 35.5km Pink Line at Kae Rai.
The project will include the construction of 22 stations and related infrastructure, the installation of signaling systems and safety systems and the laying of two monorail tracks.
On August 29, 2013, MRTA board approved the project and the plans were submitted to Transport Ministry for final approvals.
