Metropolitan Pacific Capital Inc. (MPC), Clarett West Development (CW) and DLJ West Capital (DLJWC) are jointly undertaking the construction of a mixed-use project in Santa Monica, California, the US.

The project involves the construction of a 12-story mixed-use development on 4.68ha of land.

It includes the construction of a 280-room hotel, 3,920m2 retail space, 9,848m2 office space, 48 affordable housing units, a grand plaza, 1,115m2 of cultural space, 4,738m2 of public open space, and 1,143 parking spaces in a four-level underground parking facility and related facilities.

OMA and VTBS were appointed as architects while Olin appointed as landscape architect for the project.

On June 3, 2015, the City Planning Commission discussed conceptual plans for the project with City staff and MPC. Later commissioners approved the project and asked MPC to increase the amount of affordable housing and to decrease office space.

On October 20, 2015, the Santa Monica City Council members asked MPC to reduce The Plaza's proposed office space by nearly half and the project's overall size by 3,345m2.

On February 9, 2017, project plans were revised.
