Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin (MITW) and Hard Rock International Inc. (HRI) are planning to undertake the casino resort complex in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the US.
The project involves the construction of a 37,161m2 casino complex. It includes the construction of 15,240m2 of retail space, a 400-room hotel, restaurants and bars, a 5,000-seat entertainment facility and 8,500 vehicle parking spaces, and the installation of 3,100 slot machines and 75 gaming tables.
In 2013, the project received approval by the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), but, nevertheless, it still needs the approval of the government of Wisconsin.
The first phase of the complex will have 9,290m2 of gaming space with 2,700 slot machines and 4,645m2 of retail space.
Osceola Group Insurance Inc. has been appointed as associate developer.
On January 23, 2015, the planning application was rejected by the state government of Wisconsin. However, MITW along with HRI, is evaluating further course of action for the project development.
On December 2016, Planning approvals were rejected by the Council.
Planning activities are underway.
