The Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports (MIT), Italy and Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) are jointly undertaking the High-Speed Railway Line project between Italy and France by connecting Turin, Cuneo, Ventimiglia, Lyon and Nice cities.

The project involves the construction of 280.7km high-speed railway line between Italy and France by connecting Turin, Cuneo, Ventimiglia, Lyon and Nice cities.

It will include the construction of railways lines, signaling junctions, stations, substation to supply overhead power, installation of electrical equipment and construction of related infrastructural facilities.

In August 2013, the Italian government was requested for the immediate allocation of the US$37 million for maintenance and safety of the railway line and on November 9, 2013, the Italian government signed an amendment for issuing the amount.

In January 2017, Turin-Lyon section received necessary approvals.

MIT and RFF are planning to invite bids for the project in 2017 and major construction work is due to start in 2018 and the construction works will continue till 2029.

The project involves the construction of a 280.7km high-speed railway line between Italy and France by connecting Turin, Cuneo, Ventimiglia, Lyon and Nice cities.

The US$28,000 million project includes the following:
