Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai Ltd (MIPCL), a 60:40 joint venture company between Mahindra World City Developers Ltd (MWCD) and Sumitomo Corporation (Sumitomo) is planning to construct an industrial park in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The project involves the construction of various infrastructures suitable for an industrial park on 202ha of land. It will be implemented in two phases on 101ha of land each.
It includes the construction of an engineering corridor comprising automobile, engineering, electronics, logistics, medical equipment and food processing firms.
The project includes the construction of access roads, water lines, electric line, sewer lines and related infrastructure.
On May 28, 2015, MWCD and Sumitomo signed a joint venture agreement to develop the project.
