The Ministry of Water Resources and Energy (MINEE), Cameroon is planning to construct Nyanzom hydroelectric power plant on Mbam River in Centre Region, Cameroon.
The project includes the construction of a 375MW hydroelectric power plant. It includes the construction of a concrete major dam, dykes on both sides, powerhouses, substations and access roads, and the installation of four turbines, generators, transformers, distribution lines and other related facilities.
In July 2014, MINEE and AVIC-ENG Company signed a cooperation memorandum on the project.
In May 2015, AVIC-ENG and MINEE signed a business contract for the project.
AVIC-ENG will undertake technical planning support and feasibility study activities for the project.
Feasibility studies are underway.
The project involves the construction of a 375MW hydroelectric power plant in Centre Region, Cameroon.
