The McLaren Health Care (MHC) in collaboration with the Clarkston Medical Group (CMG) is planning to undertake the McLaren Health Care Village project in Clarkston, Michigan, the US.

The project involves the construction of a health care facility. The project is being implemented in phases.

In May 2009, the construction works on first phase of the project completed.

The second phase includes the construction of a cardiac center, three life science facilities, additional medical office buildings and a 200-bed hospital.

Professional Engineering Associates is the land surveyor.

Third phase includes the construction of a 100-bed addition to the hospital.

On February 1, 2012, MHC presented a Certificate of Need application to the Michigan Department of Community Health, formally asking for the right to build the second phase, 200-bed hospital.

In June 2012, the application for the second phase was rejected.

On July 17, 2012, the Independence Township board approved first reading of the MHC Planned Unit Development and in October 2012, MHC re-submitted the revised plans.

On October 16, 2012, Independence Township Board approved second reading of the revised plans.

On December 20, 2013, Michigan Department of Community Health's (MDCH) denied the bid approval given by MHC to undertake the development of the project.

Professional Engineering Associates is the land surveyor.

In January 2015, the project plans were put on hold.

MHC is in ongoing discussions with Clarkston Medical Group regarding the project, however the decision on the project is yet to be taken.
