The Ministerio de Energia y Minas (MEM) has announced plans to build the Churo Hidroelectric plant in Peru.
The project involves the construction of a reservoir, 4km tunnel, a powerhouse, a substation, a switch yard and related infrastructure, the installation of generators, turbines and related equipment, and the laying of transmission lines.
In 2010, MEM appointed RC Hydro, a subsidiary of Grupo Aruntani as the associate developer.
On July 14, 2015, RC Hydro appointed Lks Ingenieria as the engineering consultant on the project.
The project involves the construction of a hydroelectric plant on the Canete and Huantan rivers with a combined capacity of 40MW in Yauyos province, Lima, Peru.
