Ministere de l'Energie et de l'Hydraulique (MEH) is planning to undertake the Kouembali Hydroelectric power plant project on the Lefini river in Kouembali, Congo.
The power plant project involves the construction of a dam with a capacity of 150MW with powerhouses, substations and installation of turbines, generators, transmissions and distribution lines.
In September 2012, the government of Congo signed a Memorandum of understanding with China Railway Group Ltd and Golden Nest International Group for the construction of the project.
China Railway Group Ltd, Golden Nest International Group has been appointed as construction contractor.
The project involves the construction of a dam on the Lefini river in Kouembali, Congo.
